"I cannot recommend Lara highly enough, as a wise, compassionate witness and guide.
Grief yields to gratitude, for these experiences, all of them."
Öcean MacConnell Liff-Anderson, Corvallis, OR
We can enter the realm of grief through many gateways, including from the death of loved ones, family conflicts, chronic illness, unhealed trauma, pet loss, the many sorrows of our troubled world, and others. These life experiences can bring feelings of shock, despair, anxiety, guilt, fear, overwhelm, numbness, and depression. Grief can arise from an experience of loss in the past, a crisis in the present, or anticipation of loss in the future. Modern Western culture is largely death-phobic and grief-illiterate so it can be hard to find the support we really need on this hard journey.
I offer a space of deep compassion and care. In navigating my own experiences of profound grief and loss, and supporting many others through this difficult life passage I have the capacity to be fully present to you in your grief journey. I will share perspectives and practices that can support you to make sense of your life and feel safe in the world again, despite what has happened. I do not see grief as a sickness needing to be cured or overcome, but as a rite of passage that carries with it hidden gifts, and an alchemical journey that shapes and transforms us as human beings.
Sessions are typically 60-90 minutes long and take place by telephone, Skype, FaceTime, Zoom or in-person wherever possible. “Our work together has brought me so much freedom from the inner turmoil I have lived with most of my life.
My only regret is that I didn’t have your support earlier to save me so many years of struggle.”
