COUNCIL OF ALL BEINGS
Voices For The Voiceless
WORKSHOP & GRIEF RITUAL
In the words of the founder of The Work That Reconnects, Joanna Macy, "The Council of All Beings is a communal ritual in which participants step aside from their human identity and speak on behalf of another life-form. It aims to heighten awareness of our interdependence in the living body of Earth, and to strengthen our commitment to defend it. The ritual serves to help us acknowledge and give voice to the suffering of our world. It also serves, in equal measure, to help us experience the beauty and power of our interconnectedness with all life."

SINGING THE WILD HEART
The Healing Art of Lament
WEEKEND WORKSHOP
This gathering offers an opportunity to remember and reclaim the healing power of Lament. We will explore the history of this ancient and near-universal tradition, and engage practices drawn from the Finnish model of Lament as a healing modality, with its roots in traditional Karelian singing, and a modern revival form of Irish Keening. Through song, sound, word, and ritual gesture we will metabolize and transform our grief into gifts of praise and beauty, deepen belonging, and find new ways to respond to the sorrows in our lives and of our world.

COUNCIL OF ALL BEINGS
Tending to the Heart of the World
ONE DAY WORKSHOP
The Council of all Beings is an experiential ritual process that heightens our awareness of the web of life and restores our sense of kinship and belonging with other living beings. Through the creation of a simple structure for spontaneous expression, this ritual enables us to tend to the heart of the world as we connect with, acknowledge, and give voice to the suffering in our world. As we experience the beauty and power of our interconnectedness with all life we strengthen our capacity to care for and defend what we love.
