FAQ

What kinds of life challenges bring people to this work?
While we focus on the whole person rather than treating isolated symptoms, clients often seek this space to navigate the somatic and emotional layers of chronic stress, anxiety, relational and attachment dynamics, difficult life transitions, and the heavy burdens of grief or loss. This work is designed for individuals, couples, and families who are ready to move beyond managing symptoms and are looking to transform deeply ingrained patterns at the root.

How does deep transformational coaching differ from traditional therapy?
Traditional psychotherapy often focuses on intellectual understanding, processing through talk, and treating clinical diagnoses. Deep transformational coaching is a collaborative, growth-oriented process anchored in the present moment. Together, we focus on the wisdom of your body, engaging the nervous system to actively shift old patterns, release stored stress, and connect you directly to your innate capacity for healing and vitality.

What is psycholytic medicine work, and is it legal?
Psycholytic work utilizes low, sub-psychedelic doses of medicine within a structured, therapeutic coaching container to gently lower defenses and amplify somatic processing. All medicine work facilitated through Wholehearted Path is fully legal and conducted strictly within safe, regulated frameworks. Our focus is heavily centered on safety, nervous system regulation, and integrating the experiences into your everyday life.

How do your somatic and relational approaches inform the medicine and coaching sessions?
Our sessions are experiential and relationally focused. Rather than analyzing your history intellectually, we welcome the different internal parts of you—honoring the profound, hidden logic behind your old survival strategies or relational defenses. By quieting the managing mind, we create a secure, co-regulated space where the nervous system can safely access deeply held non-verbal material, process stored trauma responses, and permanently rewire outdated emotional mappings at a biological root level.

What role do equine-assisted services play in this process?
Horses are social, highly sensitive animals whose own survival depends on absolute, grounded resonance. In our ground-based equine sessions, the horse acts as a living mirror for your nervous system, providing immediate, nonjudgmental feedback to help you track somatic tension, notice relational patterns, and practice real-time co-regulation. This experiential, fully engaged setting offers a safe and profound container for emotional integration and deep self-exploration.

How do you approach your work with couples and families?
We move away from blame and look directly at the underlying relational and attachment patterns that cause couples and families to feel disconnected or stuck. By creating a secure, emotionally supportive environment, we help partners map their automatic protective cycles, understand each other’s underlying somatic vulnerabilities, and cultivate deep, authentic emotional bonds that foster true intimacy and mutual support.

Do I need prior experience with somatics or medicine work to attend a retreat or session?
Not at all. Whether you choose private sessions, an immersive retreat, or equine-assisted integration, the work is entirely paced to your unique nervous system. We meet you exactly where you are, co-creating a safe, relationally-centered space where you can step into these experiences with complete support and guidance.
